Fact-Check Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

This page sets out exactly what we verify on every job notification we publish, against what source, and how we correct a factual error once one is found. It's narrower than our general Editorial Policy — this is the specific standard every individual fact on this site is held to.

What we check on every post, and against what

Data pointChecked against
Application open/close datesThe official notification PDF/notice
Eligibility (age, qualification, category relaxation)The official notification's eligibility clause
Vacancy count (total and category-wise)The official notification's vacancy table
Application feeThe official notification's fee schedule
Apply Online / official website linksThe recruiting organisation's own domain — never a third party
Admit card / result dates and linksThe recruiting organisation's official portal, once published

What we don't do

  • We don't publish a vacancy we can't trace back to an official source.
  • We don't speculate on unannounced dates, unconfirmed vacancy numbers, or exam outcomes.
  • We don't accept payment to list, prioritise, or favourably describe a recruitment.
  • We don't let advertising or affiliate relationships on a page change how a job's eligibility, dates, or process are described.

When a fact changes after publishing

Government recruitment timelines shift often — corrigenda, extended deadlines, revised vacancy counts, postponed exams. When an official update is issued, we edit the existing post itself and move its last-updated date forward, rather than leaving the outdated figure live next to a new one. The "Published by" and last-updated line at the top of every post reflects this.

Reporting a factual error

If something on this site doesn't match the official notification, tell us and include a link to that official source if you have it — we treat this as a correction to make quickly, not a complaint to manage. Reach us via our Contact page; we aim to review correction reports within 24–48 hours.

However careful our verification, the recruiting organisation's own official notification is always the final authority. Always confirm the closing date, fee, and eligibility there before applying or paying anything.
